Teen Tech Squad
The library just received funding for Teen Tech Squad: Leadership and Learning in libraries. The Teen Tech Squad program allows us to hire teens and teach them to use Scratch to create rich media projects. Then we pay the teens to teach other teens -- a winning combination for giving teens deep experience in rich media content creation, digital literacy, leadership and, of course a pay check. The Teen Tech Squad is generously funded by the Best Buy Foundation and the library partners with the Learning Technologies Center at the Science Museum of Minnesota to teach and support the teens.
